PHELAN, California (VVNG.com) – A 51-year-old criminal was arrested after he took water worth 100,000 dollars with a stolen meter, officials said.
On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, at 5:00 PM, the deputies of the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station were contacted by employees of the Phelan / Pinon Hills Water District.
According to a press release, employees were outside with an entity that had a stolen water meter at a water filling station on Sheep Creek Road.
It is estimated that $ 105,000 worth of water was taken using a stolen meter. A tanker truck driven by the suspect was identified as Manuel Gomez it was determined that the registration of the Phelan resident had expired.
“During the search of the truck, about 8 grams of methamphetamine were found, which is suspected to have been loaded with firearms,” the statement said.
Gomez was arrested and punished at the High Desert Detention Center for stealing utilities, criminals for possession of firearms, criminals for possession of ammunition and possession of a controlled substance while he was armed.
