Amber Portwood simply can’t have nice things.
Or more specifically, Amber Portwood cannot be in a comfortable and / or normal relationship at the same time with her son and daughter.
Last month, the often-troubled Teen Mom OG star told our friends on The Ashley’s Reality TV Roundup that things are great these days between himself and his daughter Lean.
But what about the affairs between Amber and his young son?
According to documents received by The Sun, Andrew Glennon (the father of Amber’s ex and their three-year-old James) told the judge that he plans to move in the near future.
In the midst of a legal battle over custody of his toddler, Glennon asks for permission move to California with James, which means the child would live well over 1,000 miles from his mother.
Currently, Andrew lives in a house that Amber actually owns in Indiana … while Portwood lives near a rental home.
Glennon has been James’ primary guardian ever since Portwood was arrested for domestic violence in July 2019.
The arrest was due to a dispute with Glennon during which Teen Mom OG is said to be angry with his then lover because the family missed the fireworks.
As part of this claim, Amber is said to have thrown Glennon in a shoe.
He is also accused of using a jungle knife to try to break the bathroom door behind which Andrew was hiding – James in his arms.
Portwood eventually agreed to the petition agreement and evaded his prison sentence, but he has only been granted occasional visitation rights with his son in the last couple of years as a result of this incident.
When Andrew and Amber have gone back and forth to court for custody, the former has often gone accused the latter of drug use and set a very bad example for their child.
In this latest application, however, Glennon told the judge that he did not want to take James away from Amber permanently.
When asked about Amber’s proposed parenting schedule, her ex-husband said she would allow her to meet and stated for information:
“Three a month, three times a month for 10 hours at a time.”
Glennon also does not request an overnight stay between mother and son and that Amber’s parenthood is used only in California.
In addition, Andrew says he wants to move to California because he can’t find a job in Indiana … but he has three job offers from Golden State.
“What steps have you taken to get a job here in Indiana after your employment with Viacom ended in 2020?” A Portwood lawyer asked the former Teen Mom actor last week.
“A Canadian film crew took me along to do a description of a small courtroom that cost about $ 250,” Andrew replied.
A Portwood attorney pressured Glennon to find out if he had even tried to find work in Indiana, which received the following response:
“I’m a full-time father, so I do what I can and spend as much time with my son as possible.
“There’s no industry here.”
The judge has not yet ruled on Glennon’s request; and Amber has not commented on the unfortunate situation.
