Who is Black Adam, anyway?

The film will feature many of DC’s favorite heroes, including Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate, but director Jaume Collet-Serra will Some complain that it doesn’t try to explain who or who the character is. What Justice is His Society is making the film difficult to understand for those who haven’t read the comics. (Maybe they’ll all get their own HBO Max series.)
However, even if the CGI was too much for some, the action was generally said to be top-notch, and was reportedly quite violent, requiring four separate edits. PG-13 level. Additionally, critics admit it’s hard to argue that Johnson looks like a superhero and is naturally inclined to this sort of thing.
Consequence’s Liz Shannon Miller isn’t blown away, but she had a good time.
Rolling Stone’s David Fear hates the movie and thinks it’s time to branch out into the DC Extended Universe.
The Verge thinks the film is not just bad, it glorifies being a mass murderer. Oops.
Matt Zoller Seitz, writing for RogerEbert.Com, praises Johnon’s “thoughtful” performance.
Slashfilm doesn’t mince words and bluntly calls the movie bad.
IndieWire complains about “Black Adam,” which feels like it’s been done before and is a knockoff of a good superhero movie.
