Third week Johnny Depp-Amber Heard Defamation Trial ended today, and once again the reading was full of great input drama and shocking accusations.
Last week, Depp took a stand and testified Heard cut off his fingers, slapped him, and truncated the tobacco on his face.
This week, his legal team called several witnesses – including a psychiatrist and Deppin, a director of property in the Bahamas – who both shared unbearable views of Heard’s character.
The girl diagnosed him with several personality disorders, while the property manager claimed so Heard threw Depp with a can of paint thinnerhitting him in the face.
Needless to say, the trial does no miracle on Heard’s reputation.
The 36-year-old has not yet had time to take a stand, but it appears that his fate has already been decided in court.
The latest evidence of this anti-Heard feeling comes to us in the form of activism that could potentially affect an actor’s career.
Muutos.org plea get Heard fired Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom has received nearly 2.5 million signatures.
Heard starred in Mera in the first Aquaman film with Jason Momoa.
He plans to repeat his role in the 2023 sequel, which ended filming in January this year.
The petition calls on DC Entertainment to remove Heard from the film and presumably replace him digitally, a la Kevin Spacey In all the money in the world.
Given the cost involved, it seems unlikely that DC executives will comply with it, but the surprising popularity of the petition may give the studio a different idea.
In any case, the author of the petition did not really belittle the words he put forward and wrote:
“Johnny Depp exposed Amber Heard as a perpetrator of domestic violence. In a $ 50 million lawsuit, Johnny Depp describes many cases of domestic violence that fell into the hands of his (then) wife Amber Heard, including one where he hit him twice.” , and his fingers had to be reattached surgically.
“He’s wearing scars for the rest of his life.”
From there, the petition examines Heard’s previous practice of the law:
“In addition, Amber Heard was arrested in 2009 for assaulting former home partner Tasya Van Ree, which demonstrated Amber Heard’s repeated pattern of exploitation,” it reads.
The petition ends with a direct appeal to the leaders of DC and Warner Bros. urging them to treat women accused of domestic violence on an equal footing with male exploiters:
“Because Amber Heard is a well-known and proven domestic violence, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard Aquaman 2 from their film project. They must not ignore the suffering of Heard’s victims, and they must not shine on domestic violence,” it reads. .
“Men are victims of domestic violence, as are women. This must be recognized and measures must be taken to prevent the well-known exploiter from being celebrated in the entertainment industry,” the petition continues.
“Do it right. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2.”
Again, it seems unlikely that Heard will be removed from the film.
But the popularity of this petition does not bode well for the future of his career.
And it’s possible that once this trial is over, both he and Depp will be considered unemployed in Hollywood.
