All Good News: Mobile food service ‘Feeding in Motion’ on a mission to get meals in the hands of those in need

Orange County (KABC)-Orange County’s non-profit organization has been helping families in need for over a decade. Moving food keeps food from being wasted. And their work became even more important in the pandemic, and last year the number of people in need surged.

Brenda Smith, CEO of Feeding in Motion, said:

Smith knows what it’s like to deal with an illness. She fought cancer twice and survived. Throughout all that, she has continued her philanthropy with the help of volunteers.

“Find what you like best,” Smith said.

Feeding in Motion is growing rapidly and has some very big goals.

“To eradicate food insecurity, make sure we feed thousands of them,” said Odessa Segers, executive. director.

“It’s a joy in my life and it makes me cry because it’s one less family who doesn’t have to go down the street and one less homeless,” Smith said.

She isn’t slowing down, and Feeding in Motion will move as long as there are people in need.
