Adoptive parents Trezell and Jacqueline West charged with murder of missing brothers, aged 3 and 4, who vanished in 2020

THE ADOPTIVE parents of two young brothers are accused of murder more than a year after the boys disappeared when they were 3 and 4 years old.

Trezell and Jacqueline West were both arrested Tuesday in Bakersfield, California, for the disappearance of the boys who were last seen a few days before Christmas in 2020.

The couple gave in interviewer after the boys disappeared – claiming they were last seen playing in the backyard of their house.

Orson, 3, and Orrin West, 4, were last seen on December 21, 2020.

Trezell, 35, and Jacqueline, 32, had submitted the missing report, claiming the boys were last seen in the backyard.

“Everyone makes their own conclusions. They know nothing,” Jacqueline said in the 2021. interview. “It’s hard. We’m going through it.

Police have conducted multiple mass searches in Bakersfield and California City with the help of the community since their disappearance.

However, it is unclear whether they have revealed clues about the boys’ whereabouts.

It is also unclear why the police moved this week to arrest the West and if new evidence has been discovered.

BIOLOGICAL HEAT SPEAKS OUT

Charles Pettus, the biological father of Orson and Orrin, also filed a lawsuit against Kern County and the state of California.

Pettus claims in the case that Child Protective Services misplaced its biological children with a few outside friends and family.

It is not known why the family lost custody of the children.

COURT APPEARS

The adoptive parents were on Tuesday both charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of intentional cruelty to a child.

They also face one misdemeanor count of making a false report of an emergency, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

Both were booked in the Kern County Jail.

They must both appear in court on Thursday at 8 p.m.

Trezell and Jacqueline are currently being held on bail.
