The merger takes place during a period of historically high unemployment as a result of a pandemic. Nearly 80% of individuals with developmental disabilities are unemployed, and the number of unemployed is increasing in Los Angeles. The merger will help address this issue directly.
Javier is one of the participants in the Ability First program. He works on the Pasadena 3-hole punch assembly line and has a hard time staying focused and reading social cues.
