A boy was found abandoned in a trash can in the toilet at Lynnwood Park on Friday morning and is hospitalized this weekend as well.
The baby was born between Wednesday and Friday. He was found by a park visitor in the women’s bathroom at Yvonneberg-John D. Ham Park in Lynnwood.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department provided emergency assistance. The baby was taken to the hospital and listed in a stable condition, the sheriff’s department reported.
Sheriff detectives sought the help of the general public to identify the baby and the person who left him in the park. Security cameras are installed in the park.
Anyone with information about the baby or who abandoned him was asked to call the LASD Special Victims Department at 877-710-5273. A tipster can also call a crime stopper at 800-222-8477.
