A71 crash: Driver taken to hospital following incident

The driver of the car, which crashed on the A71 motorway near the Greenwood interchange yesterday, was taken to Crosshouse Hospital after the accident.

It happened around 5.15pm on Tuesday, and the section of the bypass road from Irwin to Draghorn was closed in both directions before reopening later in the evening.

It is reported that only one car was involved in the accident.

“The driver was taken to Crosshouse Hospital, Kilmarnock. Since then, the road has reopened.
