APPLE VALLEY, California (VVNG.com) – A 21-year-old man from Victorville was arrested after a chase after a vehicle in Apple Valley, officials said.

On Saturday, April 23, 2022, around 4:50 a.m., Apple Valley Police Department deputies tried to stop traffic on a black Land Rover because it did not stop at a set stop sign at the intersection of Quinnault Road and Powhattan Road, officials said.

Driver, later identified as Bradley Luckeyhe failed to relent and a chase ensued.

According to a press release, Luckey showed reckless disregard for public safety when he reached a speed of 70 MPH, crashed into opposite lanes and failed to stop at a red light.

“The search ended when Luckey hit a street sign on Clallam Road, disabling the vehicle he was driving,” the statement said.

Luckey was arrested without incident and convicted at the High Desert Detention Center for evading the crime. He was remanded in custody in lieu of $ 100,000 bail.
