82-year-old man hospitalized after Apple Valley accident dies nearly two weeks later – VVNG.com

APPLE VALLEY, California (VVNG.com) – An 82-year-old man hospitalized after a car accident in the Apple Valley died of his injuries almost two weeks later.

The San Bernardino County coroner identified the deceased man as Percy James Moorea resident of Apple Valley.

On Monday, March 21, 2022, at 5:25 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the intersection of Rimrock Road and Corwin Road in Apple Valley over a two-vehicle collision.

Firefighters asked for a helicopter to transport the injured elderly man. He was transported by ambulance to St. Mary’s and taken to the trauma center.

Coroner’s officials said Percy passed away as a patient at Loma Linda University Medical Center on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at 2:30 p.m.

VVNG contacted Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jackie Alban regarding the accident, however, she did not have details available for publication.

The accident is being investigated by the Apple Valley Police Department.
