73-year-old bicyclist dies following crash in north Fresno
The accident happened before 5:30 a.m. on Herndon and Blackstone Avenues.
Investigators say Frank Romero was crossing south at Blackstone on a crosswalk when a driver in a silver SUV hit him.
Romero was found with serious injuries when the police arrived. He was taken to hospital, where he later died.
Investigators are still working to determine what led to the crash. Police said the driver was cooperating with the investigation.
It is not clear if drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident.
