Get robbed by a judge at an ATM downtown

OAKLAND – A retired Alameda County judge was robbed at gunpoint after exiting an ATM in downtown Oakland on Wednesday, officials said.

The robbery occurred around 5:05 p.m. Wednesday at Block 1900 on Franklin Street. Authorities said she had just used a bank ATM and was walking to her car when a man with a gun confronted her and took her phone, wallet and bag containing cash. was robbed.

The robber fled in a waiting vehicle and was last seen heading north on Franklin Street at 20th Avenue. Police believe the same suspect was involved in another armed robbery of a man who had just made a deposit at a bank in the 2000 block on Franklin Street around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. A man lost his mobile phone, wallet and other personal items in a robbery.
