5 Simple Lessons That Will Transform Your Business

If you’re running a business, you probably already know that every minute counts. With limited time and resources, every decision we make in our working hours needs to be as efficient as possible.

Consider these five simple lessons that will make a huge difference to your business over time.

Make the most of your working day.

Set your alarm to go off an hour before you need to be up. This gives you time to wake up and get dressed without rushing, which can leave you feeling less productive in the morning.
Eat breakfast before starting work–it will help keep your energy levels high throughout the day instead of having them dip at lunchtime!
Work on something exciting; if there’s a project that gets your blood pumping, get it done first thing so that all day long (and into tomorrow) feels productive and rewarding instead of stressful or boring

Have a plan and stick to it.

Make a plan, and then stick to it. This can be hard for some people who are used to being spontaneous, but you will find that having a solid business process makes things much easier in the long run.

Once you have a plan, write down all of the details so that they’re easy for you and others on your team (if applicable) to access at any time. You might even want to include estimated expenses or income projections so that everyone has an idea of where things are going before starting out on any new project or campaign.

Eliminate distractions.

If you want to be productive and get things done,eliminate distractions.

Turn off your phone.
Close your email (at least for a little while).
Get in the zone by clearing out all other possible distractions: put on some music if that helps you focus, or use a white noise machine to drown out background noise; if necessary, even use earplugs if that’s what it takes!
If there are people around who might distract from getting work done, set boundaries or give yourself space to get things done.

Get in the habit of reading and becoming a lifelong student
