43-year-old woman arrested after breaking into house and attacking deputy in Hesperia – VVNG.com

HESPERIA, California (VVNG.com) – A 43-year-old woman was arrested after breaking into a house and attacking a deputy in Hesperia.

It happened on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at about 2:50 p.m. on Carmine Road 13400.

According to the sheriff’s statement, the suspects Laurie Metzgera resident of Hesperia, passed through the closed gate of the victim and knocked on the front door.

“When she realized that no one was home, she entered through an unlocked back door,” the statement said. “Metzger took a bottle of water from the kitchen and sat in the yard, when the homeowner’s children arrived home from school, Metzger greeted them and called an ambulance.”

Metzger left the residence and headed across the railroad to her residence. When deputies tried to arrest Metzger, she swung a stick at one of the deputies and inflicted a wound on his arm, officials said.

Laurie Metzger was arrested for: PC 459: Burglary and PC 245 (C): Attack on a peace officer. She is currently being held at the High Desert Detention Center instead of a $ 75,000.00 bail.
