31-year-old man arrested in deadly Sacramento County shooting, sheriff says

A 31-year-old man is accused of shooting and killing a man and injuring three others on Easter Sunday, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Joel Tyrone Seigler was arrested for the deadly shooting of 33-year-old Robert Earl Daniel, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office on Sunday. He also faces charges of injuring three other people. The shooting took place at 7200 Franklin Boulevard last Sunday at around 12:16 p.m., according to authorities. Immediately after the shooting, sheriff’s officials said they responded to the scene after receiving reports that someone had been shot and was lying in a business parking lot. Two men and a woman were found, each shot at least once, according to the sheriff’s office. Early responses revealed that Daniel was dead on stage. The other two victims were taken to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. A fourth person, who suffered life-threatening injuries, was transported to the hospital alone. It is not clear what the condition of their injuries is. Seigler is officially under control until 2034 due to a 2022 case where he is accused of possession for the sale of marijuana or hashish. The sheriff’s officials did not say what led to his arrest. Seigler is being held in Sacramento County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court on April 26.
