3 Vista schools pivot to virtual learning after positive virus cases

Vista, CA – Three Vista Unified Schools are shifting their focus to virtual learning from Tuesday as each school is positive for coronavirus cases.

Students at Ranchobu Enavista High School, Vista Magnet Middle School of Technology, Science and Mass, and Madison Middle School will return to distance learning on November 17, the district said Monday.

According to the district, since October 20, 31 people have tested positive for COVID-19 on school campuses. Nine were at high school level, two were at continuing school, six were at junior high school, and 16 were at elementary school level. ..

Vista Unified became one of the first regional districts to fully reopen its campus in October, rather than adopting a hybrid model of home-based and face-to-face learning as some districts do.
