Christian Camarillo said Monday before Brandon was identified. The father of the child is a prisoner, he said: “Whoever is a mother or a father, you love nothing more than you love your child”, said Camarillo. An Endangered Missing Advisory was activated by the California Highway Patrol, but an Amber Alarm was not issued as police had no information about a suspect’s vehicle or license plate, Camarillo said.

Police released footage from surveillance footage showing a man walking on a sidewalk with a covered car seat, on which investigators said he was holding the child.

Police did not immediately say if any of the detainees were the same person in the pictures.

The suspect previously described by police appeared to be unknown and neither the baby’s grandmother nor mother identified the man, Sgt. Christian Camarillo said Monday before Brandon was identified. The child’s father is incarcerated, he said.

“Whoever is a mother or a father, you love nothing more than what your child loves,” Camarillo said.

One Information about the disappearance was triggered by the California Highway Patrol, but no Amber Alert was issued as police had no information about a suspect’s vehicle or license plate, Camarillo said.
