3.0-magnitude earthquake rattles Malibu, Santa Monica, Calabasas, USGS says

Malibu, Calif. (KABC) –According to the United States Geological Survey, there was a preliminary magnitude 3.0 earthquake in the Malibu and Calabasas regions on Monday morning.

According to the USGS, the quake occurred at 7:03 am, centered around 13 west-southwest of Santa Monica.

“It really rocked our house,” Veronique A. de Turenne commented on Twitter, with her handle at @HereInMalibu.

Los Angeles-based Twitter user @baebaespice described a magnitude 3.0 earthquake as “cute.”

There were no immediate reports of injuries or injuries.
