2nd victim killed in Old Sacramento mass shooting ID’d by coroner’s office

According to Sacramento police, the county coroner’s office identified the second victim, 16-year-old Joseph Frives, who killed one and injured four in a shooting in Old Sacramento on Wednesday night. The other person killed was identified earlier this week as 21-year-old Alex Selda. Police announced on Saturday afternoon that they had arrested two men as 22-year-old Marcus Trulu and 21-year-old Cedric Salsed in connection with the shooting. Police believe that there are no prominent suspects. According to police, patrol officers reported hearing shots fired around Front Street and L Street before 11:45 pm. The motive for firing was unknown, but investigators believed that there had been some changes prior to firing, which was not an aggressive shooting situation. According to police, several guns were recovered from the scene.
