23rd Annual Teddy Bear Toss tonight

Bakersfield, CA (KERO) —United Way of Kahn County and Bakersfield Condors continue to follow tradition. The 23rd Teddy Beatos will take place on Saturday during the Condors match against San Diego Gal.

This year, we’re back on the ice for this year’s popular game in the community. Take the bear to Teddy Beatos and help local organizations in Kern County use it in programs and services for children.

United Way of Khan County sells discounted game tickets for $ 20 on its website. These tickets are donations to UWKC and the proceeds from these sales will be used to provide programs and services to the community in the areas of health, education and financial stability.

“I am very pleased that Teddy Bear Toss is back on the ice this year. I look forward to seeing the amazing games and thousands of teddy bears thrown on the ice when Bakersfield Condors scored their first goal. Thank you, Kern County for your continued support, “said Gabriel Alvarez, Vice President of Development and Impact at United Way of Kern County.

If you can’t participate in the game but want to offer a bear to a child in need, visit our website for other donation methods. You can make a donation to buy a bear. Amazon’s wishlist is posted on the site, and you can pick a bear and send it directly to the office. New or gently used teddy bears can also be brought to the 5405 Stockdale Hwy office. Until December 3rd.
