2 shooting in Stockton leaves 3 people dead, police say

Two separate shootings in Stockton overnight left three people dead, according to the Stockton Police Department. Police said in a press release that police arrived at the 300 block of Coventry Drive where they found four people who had been shot. The first correspondents took them to the hospital where two of them died from their injuries. Police describe another shooting in which police found a 30-year-old man on W. Eighth Street Square 700 with multiple gunshot wounds after 11:30 p.m. found his death on the spot. Police did not release a description of the perpetrator or the victims of either incident. No other details were given until press time. According to Stockton police, a total of 11 homicides occurred at this point last year. In 2022 so far 19 homicides have been reported.
