2 men accused of throwing packages off cargo train in Tulare County

TEVISTON, California (KFSN) – Tulare County lawmakers have arrested two men accused of throwing parcels off a freight train.

It happened Wednesday morning near Highway 99 and 80th Avenue in Teviston.

The train was scheduled to stop on J Street and Cartmill in Tulare. Law enforcement agencies from various services found the two men on the train.

They arrested 43-year-old Travis Harris from Long Beach and 30-year-old Pedro Gonzalez from Bakersfield.

Investigators say several UPS packages were opened and dumped along the railroad tracks during the train journey.
