NEWBERRY SPRING, California – Two people were killed and two were injured in a collision between a vehicle on the southern interstate 15.

The accident happened around 11:11 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022, on South Interstate 15 near Mannix Wash Bridge, approximately 8 miles before Alvord Mountain Road.

California Highway Patrol officers and San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters responded to a traffic accident involving an unknown dark-colored limousine.

According to the records of the incident of the California patrol on the highway, the limousine was moving at an unknown speed when it lost control.

According to preliminary reports, the vehicle crashed into a central bulkhead, overturned several times before leaving the highway and crashed under a bridge on the highway.

Four people were trapped in the accident, and the help provided by the Good Samaritans pulled the victims out of the vehicle and provided assistance just before the vehicle caught fire.

Two helicopters arrived at the scene and transported two critical patients.

At least four people were injured in the crash and two people died on the spot.

An investigation into the crash is being led by a California patrol on the Barstow Highway.
