2 injured in wildfire in Fresno County, officials say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Crews are working to fully contain a wildfire in Fresno County that left two people recovering from burns.

The fire started around 2 a.m. Sunday at Pebble Lane and Ripple Lane in the Squaw Valley area east of Fresno.

Officials say winds picked up quickly, spreading the fire and requiring more crews to help.

The fire burned about 55 acres and damaged three buildings, including houses.

The limit is at 50 perfects as of Monday morning.

Authorities say two residents were injured in the fire.

The two injured residents were taken to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
