It happened at a house party on Morgans Avenue near 278 Exeter just before one on Saturday morning.
Deputies say they found two victims of the shooting – a 15-year-old and a 23-year-old man.
The 15-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 23-year-old was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The person who hosted the rally was not there when the MPs arrived – he is one of the many people they still hope to talk to.
There were both teenagers and adults at this party. Only about 10 people were left behind to talk to detectives.
Neighbors say the party became quite loud around midnight.
The sheriff’s deputies rushed to the neighborhood an hour later, after the quarrel escalated and someone pulled out a gun.
We know that none of the victims of the shootings lived in the house where the shootings took place.
The sheriff’s office says there is still much evidence to be gathered and witnesses to speak.
“We know there are people out there who know what happened and are probably witnesses. We would like them to show up and talk to us. They can remain anonymous,” said Lt. Jason Kennedy.
Deputies also believe that there was only one shooter – they need the help of the public to find this person.
Anyone with information is kindly requested to call the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
