12-year-old Girl Rescued From Suspected Human Trafficker In Vallejo – NBC Bay Area

A 12-year-old girl was rescued from trafficking and the suspect was arrested in Vallejo this week, police said.

Police responded to 400 blocks of Fairgrounds Drive around 12:15 pm Wednesday after someone reported that the girl was being trafficked.

Police searched for and finally found a girl with the suspect Vallejo’s 19-year-old Fidel Rodríguez-Navarrete.

He was arrested and imprisoned in Solano County Jail on charges of crimes such as trafficking of minors, sex with minors, and assault with deadly weapons.

Police chief Shawny Williams said the girl showed the courage to ask for help. “She has all the credit for blocking this trafficker,” said the chief.

The girl was treated and taken to a county agency for additional resources and support. She was then returned to the care and custody of the social worker in the county in which she lived.

If you have additional information about the case, please contact Detective Brian Murphy (707) 648-5430.
